Industrial Peace Advisory and Promotion Unit

In addition to its functions as a tribunal, the DDPR is also tasked with the responsibility to prevent trade/labour disputes from arising or escalating.  In order to carry out this mandate, the DDPR established within it structure, the Industrial Peace Advisory and Promotion Unit (IPAPU).

The unit provides and offers training workshops and presentations to both the Employers and Workers on various Labour Law subjects.  It also provides day-to-day questions to workplaces concerns and queries, for guidance and clarity.  However it does not provide advice on potential or actual cases that are likely to be or have already been referred to the DDPR.
