Our Mandate
The Directorate of Dispute Prevention and Resolution (DDPR) is a semi-autonomous and a juristic peron (tribunal) that was established by Section 46B, of the Labour Code (Amendment) Act 2000, to,
- Attempt to prevent and resolve trade disputes through conciliation
- Resolve trade disputes through arbitration
- Advise employers, employers organisations, employees and trade unions, on the prevention and resolution of trade disputes
- Compile and publish
- Information about its activities;
- Statistics on disputes and prevention and resolutions and significant arbitration awards.”
The DDPR became operational from 16th January 2002.
